Vodafone will Raise its Fiber and Mobile Rates in July

The mobile bill will go up from July 15 for Vodafone customers. The company will charge three euros more per month to users who have contracted fiber and mobile services.

The company justifies the increase in the heavy investments required by the increase in confinement activity and the deployment of 5G

In this way, it will raise the prices of all the One Unlimited and Home Unlimited rates, which include both unlimited calls and data, by that amount.

It will not be the only increase. Each additional mobile line that is associated with the package will mean another euro and a half of additional costs.

The oldest fiber and mobile rates, contracted before April 2019, will suffer the same increase with the aggravating factor that the firm already increased these Vodafone One Mini, Super and Extra rates on November 15. So, customers were offered higher speed in fiber optics and the data associated with each line in return. This time there are no counterparts for the rise.

Vodafone justifies it by the heavy investments, exceeding 200 million euros, to face a rise in traffic of more than 65% during confinement.

Added to this is the deployment of the new 5G network and the purchase of radio spectrum that the Government plans to auction in the near future.

"Our goal is to always offer service levels with the best network quality, giving them continuous access to the latest technological innovations along with the highest coverage and best speed," defends Vodafone in a statement to its customers, informing them of the changes.

The update of the prices will not imply, however, the cancellation of the particular discounts that each client has agreed and that are currently in force.
